- BD SafetyGlide shielding needle attached to a 1 cc hypodermic syringe. After injection, immediately apply a single-finger stroke to the activation-assist lever arm to activate the shielding mechanism. Audible click when needle tip is fully covered. After activation, discard immediately into a sharps container.
